okay thank you tod for you help!! Ill stay on tourist visas until baby gets its thai citizenship. One last thing, dont suppose you would know if this new e visa thing would effect a non o visa for being parent of thai child?

if i did that every 150 days then went back to england and applied again in london and just kept doing that would that be okay? What would the required docs be for this? Says online 3 months of bank statements showing £1400 per month, which i have now from benefits but when i go to thailand they will end so i wont have any income at all. Ill live off my bfs income and a little bit of savings...

ohh okay i see so i apply for 90 day se non o then i can extend the visa for 60 days then leave the country to Lao and do it all again without showing any financial evidence... Are there any other consulates you know that i wouldnt have to show financial evidence, what about in london? What is the yearly extension though? is that after 90 days then extending it for 1 year?

okay, I think I get it now. thanks Tod! so the non o (on being a parent of thai child) lasts 90 days and then you can extend it for 60 days and then just keep doing visa runs? but everytime i'd still need to show 400k in my account. Sounds good to me, just need to find 400k!

Ah okay, thats probably it then. If i do need to show financial evidence, I was told 400,000 baht in bank (but i dont have this kind of money unfortunately) i guess if we are unmarried i would have to show this money :( we havent been together that long so i dont want to rush into marriage, i know having a child together is pretty permanent but we arent quite ready for marriage just yet haha even though it would make our lives easier...

Yes of course ill do that sorry forgot to mention it, the baby will travel to thailand on a british passport. It will get dual nationality (its what i was meaning about getting thai citizenship) but we will have to apply in bangkok with us both there so i can then get this non o visa. Im already claiming benefits, completely didnt think of that being my income haha so yeah id get the minimum 1400 per annum but it would all end when i move to thailand so not sure what would happen when the visa were to run out.
