Can someone provide me with requirements/info needed for student visa - learning thai in Koh Phangan. I looked into it when I lived there before and remember them needing a criminal record check or something like that... Im a bit out of sync with the current student visa info so any tips/advice appreciated. Im thinking for in about 6 months time.

How regularly do you need to take classes/go into the school? How much is it? How long is the visa? Do you do 90 day check in or need to leave the country and reenter? Sorry for all the questions.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a student visa for studying Thai in Koh Phangan, you need to check the requirements on the Thai Embassy's website in your home country. Additionally, the school you'll attend will provide specific requirements for enrolling in their courses. Typically, you will obtain a Single Entry Non-Immigrant ED visa valid for 90 days upon entry. After this, you can apply at a local Immigration Office for an Extension of Stay based on your course duration. Regular class attendance and possibly a criminal record check may be needed.

The requirements to apply for the visa you find on the website of the Thai Embassy in your country.

The requirements to follow a course in Thailand, you get from the school you like to visit.

You get a Single Entry Non Immigrant ED visa, 90 days on entry and with documentation from the school, you apply at a local Immigration Office for an Extension of Stay and keep on doing that as long as your course runs.
