TLDR : Answer Summary
When seeking travel insurance for Thailand, especially for UK travelers including children, it's recommended to consider local Thai providers. AXA is mentioned as an ideal choice due to its affordability and reliability in covering required government hospital stays in case of COVID-19. Sylvia L'eclipse is praised for her thoroughness in explaining policies, while Arawan Namak comes highly recommended for assistance. Other options and contact details were also shared by commenters.

Recommend Thai insurance, since most other foreign insurance won't pay for the government required hospital stay if you test positive and are asymptotiatic. AXA seems the best option.

Regarding children, I recommend not have them.
