my 90 day tourist visa runs out in a month, do I just leave the country and come back on a 30 day visa upon arrival and keep extending and keep leaving etc?

do I apply for the visa here or outside Thailand?

I've tried doing some research but theres so many mixed answers about also how many times you're allowed to have a tourist visa

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around managing a 90-day tourist visa in Thailand, specifically how to extend the stay by leaving and re-entering the country. It clarifies that a visa exemption or Visa on Arrival can be utilized, but highlights the need for awareness of the limitations on the number of entries per year, and the importance of understanding the different visa types based on one's nationality.

I guess you mean your 60 day tourist visa which you extended for another 30 days. Yes, you have to leave the country and can come back depending on origin of passport for a 30 day Visa Exempt Entry (no visa) or Visa on Arrival for 15 days. The mixed answers you get when you use the wrong terms, like 30 day visa upon arrival which is a combination of two types of entry. Let us know the country of origin of your passport and we can give better advice.

No, the 60 day Single Entry Tourist Visa you buy at a Thai Consulate or Embassy. Apply day 1, pick up next working day.

Than you can do twice a calendar year a border crossing for the Visa Exempt Entry for 30 days and each entry can be extended with another 30 days at local Immigration. If you like a longer stay than you have to fly out and in, no maximum there but as mentioned after several entries you are being questioned by Immigration.

visa exempt is what I meant lol still confused with all the different types/names, I only want to do this maybe 2 times this year. I don't really need or want a non b visa... I'm living with my friend for free and I have enough money for food. I may get a job in the future but I'm planning to stay with her long term. I will apply for an education visa as soon as the school replies but just wanted some information about this in case that fails
