TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your 2-month tourist visa while in Koh Phangan, you should visit the Immigration Office on Koh Samui, which is the closest option. It's advisable to go early to avoid long waits, especially before the Songkran festival when many people seek extensions.

Immigration office on Koh Samui, short ride from Big Buddha pier. Go early don't wait until last day when it will be busy due to Songkran closures.

Bring a 4x6cm photo and 1900 baht. The required TM7 form is available on site.
