People can freely choose where they want to go get a Thai Visa.

Perhaps, not just only come to Laos only for a Thai Visa, but also visit and tour Laos.

There are many reasons that people do not use the 60 days visa exemption, but need a Thai Visa:

DTV Visa,

Non-B Visa,

Non-O Visa that they decide not to get inside Thailand (or unable to).

You can also include Non-OA and all the other Thai Visas that cannot be obtained in-country....

if your wife is technologically inclined and has a current Thai ID card, then could try to see if her Thai documents are online and obtain copies via the ThaiD app (all free and relatively easy to use)!

Also, you or or wife (preferably your Thai wife) can fill out a Power of Attorney (POA) and have anyone pick up a Thai or English copy of your Thai Marriage Certificate at a District (เขต/อำเภอ) Office as well if not in Thailand....

Can easily get both a Thai and English copy of your Thai Marriage Certificate at the District Office (เขต/อำเภอ) where you were married or at any District Office actually

There hasn't been a TM6 Arrival/Departure Card needed at 16 land borders since 15 April 2024 and extended to 30 April 2025. Also, at Airports since July 2022

Anonymous participant 184 As the Thai Embassy in Singapore uses an online system for applying for Thai Visas, but does NOT use the system like most other Thai Embassies/Thai Consulates utilize for Thai E-Visa, so was your Thai Visa issued as a Sticker Visa or electronic PDF file??

Thailand doesn't have a minimum passport validity per se, but any Thai visa, stay period, or Extension of Stay will only be as long as the validity of the passport (not more than the passport validity)

How long did it take to get the Authentication/Apostille Certificate from the federal State Department in Washington, DC after mailing in your State-level Secretary of State Authentication/Apostille? (or, did the federal State Department resume walk-in service yet for Authentications/Apostilles?)
