no this is to buy a Visa from a Thai Consulate in another country before you come here. Has nothing to do with getting a yearly extension inside the country at the immigration office

The non-O visa has always stated for less than 90 days, because the visa gives you 90 days in Thailand. You can apply for an extension, but that has nothing to do with your visa application.Gary ***********

For the OA visa it's "Those who wish to stay in thailand no longer than 1 year (multiple entries)"
