DTV + Mandatory 90-Day Reporting

As with nearly all Thai Visas and Extensions of Stay in Thailand (with only one visa type as an exception), there is a requirement for those who have made entry into Thailand and stayed continuously within Thailand for 90 days or more to do 90-Day Reporting with Thai Immigration.

Inexplicably, why are there rumors that 90-Day Reporting is not necessary for DTV is unknown, but for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), 90-Day Reporting is specifically required as follows:

As per Thai Immigration Order #135/2567 (2024), dated 15 July 2024 implementing the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV),

> Section 5 requires 90-Day Reporting for those who made entry into Thailand using a DTV.

Also, for reference are the Cover Sheet of related implementing Immigration Orders dated 15 July 2024 and both the signed copy and Royal Gazette published copy of the Interior Ministry Ministerial Regulation outlining the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV)

Sorry, that an English translation is not provided, but perhaps using Google machine translation may help to understand these Thai documents....

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-Day Reporting is a mandatory requirement for expats holding a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) who have been in Thailand for 90 days without leaving the country. This regulation is outlined in Thai Immigration Order #135/2567 (2024), effective from July 15, 2024. Despite rumors suggesting that 90-Day Reporting is not required for DTV holders, the law explicitly mandates it. The first report must typically be made in-person at a Thai Immigration office, while subsequent reports may have the option to be conducted online. Comments highlight the importance of ensuring that TM30 forms are available for reporting and raise questions about the time frame for submitting these reports.

Don't forget to make sure you have a TM30 or you cannot do a 90 day report.

Now let's hope people read this and stop asking every single day about the report, like it's a big deal doing the report every 90 days

Since DTV is for 180 days each stay will this mean in person every time or just for the 90 day of the first stay?

Any stay continuous within Thailand for 90 days. Also, a DTV entry is for 180 days, but a DTV stay can be extended 180 days, so a continuous 360 days in Thailand is possible and thus multiple 90-Day Reports would have to be filed....

@Dca ****
OK, when you extend for another 180 days there will be a possible 90 days reporting during the extension for which it is not necessary to go to immigration in person?

But when you not extend, you will have to do 90 days reports always in person?
