Does the Thai Consulate in Sydney still accept funds in an Australian Bank Account for the Non O–X E–Visa after the switch to eVisa?

After the Thai Consulate in Sydney transitioned to the E-Visa system on March 19, 2024, it appears that the requirement for the 3 Million Thai Baht to be held in an Australian bank account for the 10 Year Non O-X E-Visa is no longer accepted. Now, the funds must be maintained in a Thai bank account in the applicant's name. However, there is some variability, as anecdotal experiences indicate that individuals may have previously received the OX visa with the funds kept in Australian banks as recently as August 2024.
