DTV Question (and apologies if this has already been answered — having trouble finding it after searching in the group):

I'm a US Citizen, but already living abroad (with my wife, three kids). Do I have to go back to the US to apply? What's the relationship between applying online to current/physical location?

I’m 64 on social security and two pensions from airlines. I’m married to a Thai gal 3 years here in America. She owns a few big farm tracts in Thailand phitsanulok and we’re building a house with family member that’s a skilled tradesman. I’ve been there twice each about 45 to 30 days long. First my wife on a 10 year green card. But I realize she can’t be out USA more than 6 months at a time. Or lose return papers. So she is studying for American citizenship. So she can travel with out hinderance.

This is now me. I live being here during spring summer. I can’t stand winter. So I’m considering living in Thailand 8 months a year. I’m registered at a my wife’s house there. But I need to get my marriage certificate converted to Thai. So I can register my marriage there. For marriage visa. Has anyone here done this. So far I’ve run into I must have American embassy certification it’s real marriage certificate then walk to Thai embassy to have them convert it to Thai.

Any input to the marriage visa?

Hello all , I have a question . I am a UK citizen my wife is Thai and we have an 8 week old baby with a UK passport. Is it possible for baby to enter Thailand on her UK passport then apply for her birth certificate and Thai passport in Thailand and then leave six months later on her Thai one . Thanks in advance .

A quick question about renewing passports and transferring stamps...

If a US citizen currently holding an extension of stay (original visa was non-imm dependent status) and re-entry permit, both valid until 30 June 2023, travels back to the US on their old passport and renews while in the US, is it necessary to send the old and new passport to the Royal Thai Embassy in the US to have the stamps transferred? Or can said traveller simply present both passports upon reentry at Suvarnabhumi and be stamped back into the country in the new passport? I know the option to renew via the US embassy and transfer stamps at our local immigration office exists, but due to imminent travels, I'm concerned that we might not get the new passport back in time.

Here is the list of requirements for someone with a Thai spouse needing reparation back to Thailand. NOTE: I've seen multiple reports that the #1 section 5 is extremely important to your application. Your spouse HAS to write a compelling letter as to why you need entry into the country (sole supporter, sick, ext). Remember there is only sufficient ASQ for 200 foriegners per day to enter Thailand, an probably thousands of applicants.
