I submitted my application on Monday in Vientianne and had 2 requests for further documents (passport picture and financial evidecne. I uploaded those and yesterday the status went to pending approval. But today I got 2 emails again asking for the same documents. But if I login to the E-visa website it doesn't show I have to upload the documents like last time. It's still showing pending approval with no way to upload any extra documents. Has anyone experienced the same?
Hello all, please help🙏 Applied from Vietnam. Hanpi Embassy. UK passport, self-employed, UK business owner. visa cancelled: wrong personal info. Is it because of the middle name? Applied and inserted the middle name everywhere, however, the Companies House, Tax Return, Bank Statements have only initials, not full name like in the passport. I wonder if this is the problem?
Hello. I need help. I tried to apply for my DTV visa as a freelancer in Cambodia. And after 15 days, I received an email saying: "Your visa application has been cancelled. wrong country of passport."
Can I call to understand? Or is there nothing to do and I have to reapply in another country?
I applied for the DTV on March 4th, and received a rejection today stating "*Mismatched date of birth on application (12 March 2025)*". I was told I have to reapply and pay again, and this time when I was filling out the application form, I noticed that when I uploaded my passport into the application, it automatically changed some of the information I already input manually.
It changed my birth date and the passport expiration date. So I'm assuming that this is what happened the first time. So, learn from my mistake and triple check your information before moving on to the next page, even if you think you already confirmed.
This may help anyone with special charcaters in their name!💥💥
My husband who is a German national spells his name with an Ö. His passport says that spelling in the name secrion but In the machine readable part of passport it says the International speling with OE. We used BOECKEL In our application.
His DTV was rejected recently because they only considered the name on the name section and not in the bottom of passport.
We have to re-submit a new application with a certificate certifying that both names are same. Even though they are on the currentnt passportrt.
Wow, just got rejected by Los Angeles. All they said was,
"Your visa application has been rejected. Please reapply visa, the name on the application is incorrect. Please fill in the name/middle name/surname/suffix or “-“ or spacing, no more no less, exactly as it appears on the travel document /passport."
I went back in and submitted a new application, this time trying to understand what could have gone wrong. At the final step before submitting, it looks like the system randomly deleted my middle name. I went back to the beginning and filled everything in again. At the final step, my middle name was there. I guess that's it. The first time, I guess I thought maybe it was blank there for a reason, because of course I filled in my middle name.
The lesson is to expect glitches and carefully review the boxes before submitting. That's a great way for them to get extra money on more applications.
I'm looking for some 1st hand experience on data entry for the e-visa portal specifically regarding foreign passports issued in Thailand. It's abundantly clear to me that things are not clear. On my Canadian passport there are fields "issuing country-CAN" and "issuing authority-BANGKOK". Yet on the e-visa application form there is a field "place of issue". I've seen the numerous posts regarding this dilemma, the various responses and no real consensus on what actually is acceptable. So please, if you have a similar experience, what did you put for place of issue? On the one hand you'd think Bangkok, but then there is the conundrum that the Canadian embassy in Bangkok is sovereign territory and the place of issue should be Canada. Real world experience appreciated over conjecture. Let the games begin. @everyone
