This is the second time they’ve asked me for additional documents in regards to financial evidence.
Applying in Indonesia - Jakarta Consulate
I have 10K USD and 10K Euro in two separate checking accounts (but with the same bank)
I did highlight the balance + start and end date for my documents. I guess my documents say April-August, but since I haven’t made any transactions in the account since April so there isn’t a new transaction line for anything in August.
I did include a cover letter explaining that there is money in two accounts both for the 3 month period.
Or is the issue that I have the money in two separate accounts? Looking through this group I saw a number of posts from people who were able to use two accounts - even though I know it also said one account is better
I can move the money into a single account - but then it wouldn’t look seasoned?
Status update: Tuesday August 5 at 3 pm, changed from "Processing Pending Document Check" to "Processing Pending Approval"
Approved: Wednesday August 6 at 1pm
No additional requests for documents, took less than 4 business days. US passport.
I submitted a cover letter using this template [members only] and added a complete description of all other files. I compressed all the files using [members only]/.
For location, since I am staying with family in Jakarta I included scans of my full passport including blank pages, a letter from a family member confirming that I'm staying with them & photos of us in front of the house.
For finances, I included a 6 month bank statement from Kasikorn Bank with an ending balance of over 500,000 baht, with the majority of it transferred in the last two weeks, but showing plenty of day to day activity.
For portfolio, I included my resume, portfolios, business cards and letters from each company I work for explicitly giving me authorization as a remote worker in Thailand, addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy of Jakarta. I'm a freelance consultant in multiple industries, so I explained my roles as simply as possible and used a lot of images to make it clear.
I have previously held 2 ED visas and had three visa free entries to Thailand, over the last three years.
Any other questions feel free to ask. Yes, I have printed out my visa, to the guy who always posts that in all caps in the comments haha.
I will do my non B single entry application in Jakarta. My plan is to hand in all the prepared documents, then go to Bali for a few days to then return and pick up my visa in Jakarta. My question is whether I have to hand in my passport along with all other visa documents as well? I apologize for this somewhat stupid question, but I’m wondering - since this will prevent me from hopping on a plane, even domestically, if I don’t have a passport for the time my visa application is in progress. Appreciate your answers, thanks!
