thanks. It’s what I thought, and it is a worry. They are deciding whether to accept the job or not based on the risk of it going wrong (hence my question to get confirmation of process). Thanks again.

thanks for that info. I am going for my first extension this year and had wrongly assumed it was 2 months from expiry date, so that’s saved me from a big error. I’ll have the 800,000 in place by October not November as I had planned!

Sadly happened to me to. Hey ho, that’s life sometimes. My OA expires next Tuesday, but thankfully I’m stamped in till January next year. Luckily I didn’t leave Thailand since I last re entered this January.

Non OA is obtained only in your home country, requires financial requirement that can be in your own country. You can get 2 years out of it. You require police background check from your home country, a medical and health insurance that satisfies a minimum of
*****
0 baht inpatient and
*****
baht outpatient. The non O requires money to be shown in a Thai bank, no health insurance and no medical or police check.

you can extend as long as it’s before your current admitted to stay date.

I think you have some misunderstanding of your situation. Interpreting your post I think you going to be applying for the 1 year extension of stay based on your OA visa. (You can not convert to the Non O in country from an OA). In this case you must have the compulsory health insurance in place from the date you wish to extend. You must get this insurance from the approved list of insurance companies and products. Follow this link for details

yes they will. It applies to all entrants to Thailand by air. Has nothing to do with type of visa. The airline is responsible to not let you board plane without it from 21st.
