Is a Covid Lab Test and Insurance Required for Re-Entry into Thailand from Vietnam?

Is covid lab test and insurance now required for re-entry from everywhere? I already have visa with re-entry, hoping to get back into Thailand from Vietnam.

And I have Thai social security, i am assuming that would be valid for the insurance portion, but I don’t know what if anything I need to print and show to be allowed to check-in.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the current requirements for re-entry into Thailand from Vietnam, specifically whether a Covid lab test and insurance are necessary. They already have a visa with re-entry rights and hold Thai social security. Comments suggest that the new rules may not apply to them due to their valid visa, and they can likely proceed without facing medical checks.

If you have a valid OA/resident visa and are “returning home” then I can’t imagine that the new rules apply.

Your visa is in your passport already approved, clearing showing a long stay residency.

Just go to the airport ASAP and get back into Thailand is my advice. They won’t hassle you regarding medical checks.

yes they will. It applies to all entrants to Thailand by air. Has nothing to do with type of visa. The airline is responsible to not let you board plane without it from 21st.

I'm not the person to ask about that really. I was at the Thai embassy in London today and they didn't know much about it either. There's a form that you need to get signed by a doctor

Your best bet is to ask the airline as they are the ones dealing with the requirements sent to them from CAAT so there wouldn't be much point standing at the check in desk saying "But Biff said it would be fine"

Don't ask me, ask them :)

okey, so is thai social security valid for (2)? How do I show that? And what is required for (1)? Will any note from a local clinic do even if they don’t have a testing kit for covid19?

Also would I be fine if I jump on an expensive flight arriving March 21 or earlier?
