you applied for the extension with one week remaining on initial non-O? Then got the under consideration stamp which allowed you to stay beyond the date stamped in your passport, is that correct? I ask because I will be in nearly the same situation. In early January after my funds have seasoned.

All visa applications in LA are done online. No walk ins.

Will be fine if you can stamp out before midnight. In my experience, international airlines only open for check-in 3 hours prior to departure, so might be very tight.

no worries at all. Just trying to help the OP, since I have been to that consulate recently and applied for and received the same visa he is trying to obtain.

pretty sure I did not confuse the requirements. I simply stated what was NOT required in Savannakhet. And also, what was asked for by the Los Angeles consulate. And I hope the OP gets the visa he is trying to get in Laos.

I returned from Savannakhet 2 weeks ago and received the Multi Entry Non-O. I was not asked for the KorRor2, nor the letter from my wife. I have been asked for this letter in the past from the consulate in Los Angeles. It was sufficient for my wife to state that we were still married and asking that this visa be granted to me.

correct. I have personally been asked by the airline when checking in for an onward ticket if my return was later than my allowable stay in Thailand. I have not ever been asked to show a ticket, onward or return, by Thai immigration.
