Hi, I’ve just read a post on here that states that you need 400k in Thai bank “on the day of application”, for a marriage visa.

I always thought it had to be in the bank for 2 months before you could apply? Or is this rule just for extensions?

I am in Thailand on a Non Immigrant O visa(90days) and have the 800.000 in a Thai bank account and can provide the other requirements. I want to apply for a 1 year extension before the 90 days are over. The question is: Is there a limit to the amount of times one can apply/get a 1 year extension?

Insurance advice please.

Arriving in 2 weeks on a Non Immigrant O visa (90 days stay) with travel insurance (90 days cover) & my refundable return ticket booked for late April 2025.

I am planning to change visa to a DTV visa (medical) prior to the 90 days, what medical/travel insurance options can I purchase after the 90 days?

Hello. I am currently in Thailand on Non Immigrant O multi entry obtained from Savannakhet. Is it possible to obtain 1 year extension of stay based on married to a Thai national when my visa expires? Or, do I have to be in Thailand on some other type of visa in order to apply for this extension?

I have navigated the e-visa Site from Melbourne Australia,

1, I see towards the end it asked for proof of 800,000 or 65,000 baht a monthly when applying for a single entry Non Immigrant O visa. The fact that I'm applying in my own country I'm assuming its proof of finances in my Australian bank account .Is this correct?

2, If I get a letter guarantee stating I am living at a private residence copy of ID and ownership Book , when i arrive in Thailand is this set in stone or can i live somewhere else? providing i have a TM30 raised.

3 Proof I am in Australia. I have been told a Utilities Bill will be fine. I don't see how a bill proves where I am. Is this correct? Thank you in advance.

My Non Immigrant O visa based on marriage needs to be extended before April 25th. I plan to go in 45 days before this to extend and then would need to return in person on May 25th under the 30 days under consideration. We are thinking about taking a trip to Japan for 7 days and will return by May 25th. My question is would there be any problems if I purchase the re-entry permit before leaving and after extending the visa and while under the 30 days under consideration? My current re-entry permit expires on April 25th. They have not come by the house to interview us in the past two years but it could be a possibility. Can I just let them know the dates of travel? Thx!

Hi. I’ve been here for 2 years on an ED visa. In April I am planning to go to Laos with a bus company and return back to Chiang Mai on the same day with a tourist visa. Then apply for a Non imm O and then a year extension for retirement. Read a post earlier suggesting that after 2 years this can be problematic, even though my circumstances sound different.

I’m wondering if it might be wise to take my belongings with me just in case?

Will my bank book be helpful showing funds?

Also, after taking much heart from the posts here I plan to take responsibility of all my own visa and immigration affairs myself, bypassing an agent. As always, very grateful for your replies.

Hello there,

I am trying to apply for marriage visa not sure how to start, I married my thai wife in Australia 10 years ago, I am an australian citizen lives in bangkok for over six months on tourist visa. my question is can I use the australian marriage certificate to prove the marriage status, if so do I need to register my marriage in thai embassy in Austrlaia before applying or can I apply for the 1 year visa inside thailand or first I have to get 3 months non immigrent marriage visa perhaps going to Cambodian thai embassy rather than travelling to Australia?

Re non immigrant O based on marriage, do I need to apply for yearly extension in the same province where my wife’s blue book is registered (family home) or can I apply in another province where we are residing? TIA
