Hello everyone, I’d like to have some advice about the following:

My tourist visa will finish on 28th Sept. I am having a flight booked on 29th Sept at 2:30am to fly out to Europe. Is it OK if I pass by the immigration at the airport before midnight (on 28th Sept) and take the flight at 2:30am (29th) and I won’t get a fine for overstay for one day?

Thank you in advance. 🙏🏻

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question is whether a traveler can pass through immigration at Bangkok's airport before midnight on September 28th and board a flight scheduled for 2:30 AM on September 29th without incurring a one-day overstay penalty. Community responses indicate that as long as the traveler exits the country before midnight on the 28th, they will not face any fines, as they will be stamped out on the correct date.

You won't get a fine as it's waived at airports for the first 24 hours but will get an overstay stamp if you don't get stamped out before midnight
Manuel *******
Will be fine if you can stamp out before midnight. In my experience, international airlines only open for check-in 3 hours prior to departure, so might be very tight.

if you can checkin early enough, depends on the airline. I had 1 day overstay because the checkin opened too late a couple of years ago.

Correct.

I would actually call and find out what time they make the date change. I have landed at 2am and stamped in for the previous day years ago. I would also think it's midnight but I would just double check.

The day changes at midnight, 24:00 hours.

It is not random and IF you see the date is not correct when you get your passport back, just inform directly the officer.

They are people so they can make mistakes.

Once you're stamped out, you're technically out of the country even if you are still airside at the airport. Just stamp out on the 28th and you'll be fine.

Yes that is fine as you will be stamped out on the 28th
