Thank you for the responses. The mission is complete. I decided to do business with krungthai bank since they were the most helpful. deposit done, app setup done and debit card with visa logo.

Going to be hard to find a visa agent that will supply the 800,000 baht.. the money is tied up too long now.

Thailand is dog friendly … they are everywhere but I have never tried to import one. Plus if you are renting a condo it will most likely not allow animals and they don’t care if it’s a service animal ..

Have you been to Thailand before ?If you plan on moving there you need to spend several months there visiting different areas and try to experience Thailand as a local not a tourist.. there is a huge difference

Jen F you need to apply for your visa using the Thai E Visa website.

I applied for the Non-o (90 day) retirement visa. Once in Thailand I will have to open a bank account (you need long term visa like the non-o to open account) I’ll make the required deposit and wait the required 2 months before applying for the 12 month extension.

Talk to Mark Larson listed above , he is in LA too

I’m waiting for mine ( non- o retirement ) to be completed by the embassy, the process seems very slow so give yourself some extra time.
