What are the requirements for applying for a NON-O retirement visa from the USA?

I’m about to apply online from the USA for a non O retirement visa (Chicago consulate). Three questions:

Does my bank account need to be at least three months old?

Does the $25,000 need to be seasoned at all (I just deposited it)?

Do I need to wait for the official monthly bank statement or can I just provide a photo/screenshot of the current account balance?

I ask all this because I want to know I’m completely ready before I begin the application process.

Thanks everybody.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on applying for a NON-O retirement visa from the USA, specifically about the bank account's age, the necessity of $25,000 being seasoned, and whether a current account balance screenshot suffices instead of an official bank statement. Community feedback emphasizes the importance of submitting three months of bank statements and cautions against using screenshots.

Upload the pdf file of your latest current account bank statement, not savings accounts, no screen shots

Thanks a lot. I’m going to follow your advice and just start a dummy application to learn the exact requirements before doing the actual application.

I stuck $25,000 into a savings account in a well known online bank. Will this not meet the requirements? Yikes!

savings account should be fine. Just be sure it's a bank and not an FX.

It’s a very well known online bank. But I have to be SURE my high yield savings account will meet the visa requirements.

best advice is to go onto the application website and do a dummy application as far as the request financial documents , there you will see the exact requirements for the finances

I’ve considered this but my paranoia has me concerned that once I enter ANY info it will be forever connected to my identity and if it’s not perfect I’ll be hung at dawn. Do you mean enter a dummy name, etc, just to learn exactly what the requirements are?

I’m waiting for mine ( non- o retirement ) to be completed by the embassy, the process seems very slow so give yourself some extra time.

they prioritize by departure date. If you're more than 2 weeks out, relax and go shopping.

Which consulate? I’ve always read the process takes two weeks or less. How long have you been waiting?

You need to show either a current balance or three months of deposits.

Do you mean if my current balance meets the requirement of about $25,000 that’s good enough? I mean if the account had only a few hundred in for the past month or two?

Did you apply for the NON-O 90 day Visa yet from the US? That's the first thing you must do. It's different from the NON-O extended visa you apply for inside Thailand.

Sorry, but you don’t extend any Non-O visa inside Thailand

*** you arrive on a 90-days Non-Imm-O retirement visa which you got issued outside of Thailand

*** you get stamped in for a 90-days stay permit

*** the Non-Imm-O visa becomes invalid as soon as you receive the “admitted stay” stamp upon entry

*** on Immigration, you will apply for the “1-year Extension of the Stay Permit”

You will be living in Thailand on a “stay permit”, not on a visa
