@Brian ******
i have travelled to Thailand to visit my girlfriend on many occasions over the last three years always on a 28 day visa (actually i think it's a 30 day visa) i have nev had any problems, although if we stay in a hotel anywhere then they do a TM30 when they take my passport, i know it's not what you are supposed to do but the general consensus is that if you don't need to go to immigration for anything then you should be ok, just be prepared to pay a fine if you get caught ( this could be in a police traffic stop or similar). I'm applying for my non immigrant OA visa in march next year and im visiting Thailand this October. Up to you really, yes you are supposed to do it, but for a 28 day visa you should be ok.

Sorry not very clear that, I meant scan all your documents and save them all as one PDF file, that one file should stay under 0.5meg

I think you can scan your picture and the rest of your documents and save as a PDF file instead of a JPEG file that should work, or you can alter the quality of your pictures from HD to low definition, this should work also

@MU *****
i'm certain that when i looked in to doing an ED visa part of the list of things that you have to do is to be tested on your competence to speak Thai to a certain level, but it's good and helpful to get your feedback, i agree that they should be given for longer maybe its because 8 months is a school year? But its it's nice to hear from someone who is actually using the visa for its desired purpose.

The way people are abusing the ED visa immigration will soon stop these visa being issued, or they will make them very expensive to obtain this will hurt the people who actually do want to learn Thai language rather than use it as a cheap way to stay in Thailand, do people think that immigration don't look at facebook profiles......

I looked into the ED visa and it sounds like the easy ticket to stay in Thailand, when you read up about the visa you will find that you have to do the hours in the classroom , there are tests too make sure you are reaching the expected level of thai language conversation etc, they were also going to ask you to have the other students sign paperwork to say you were a classmate etc.....so im going the non immigrant OA route its legit and trouble free, if you dont want to go the nin non immigrant OA route then a METV is the next best route...dont get caught messing around with the wrong visa you will get caught, people trying to play the system make it bad for everyone. Just my 2penceworth
