Please let me know if anyone in the group is using TransferWise, or now just Wise, to transfer their money. I am planning to do, but would be good to have some feedbacks or if anyone using it especially from the security perspective. My current plan is to transfer from Switzerland to Thailand. Thanks.

Not visa related directly. When you send money via transfer wise to a thai bank account will it show your name and account details or just the company name. Transfer wise .thanks.

Looking for advice:

ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED TODAY.

I use Transferwise for the monthly income option of my retirement from USA.

I use the drop down menu: " funds for longterm stay.."

Last November, 1 transfer was sent to Kasikorn. Kasikorn wrote a letter stating funds were from outside of Thailand.

This was rejected by Immigration yesterday and was told to leave Thailand.

How to keep this from happening?pp

I am trying to download to one of my bank accounts (very likely in Thailand, where the transfer fees and exchange rate fees are relatively low) some money that a tech-savvy donor parked in a Wise (formerly Transferwise) account for me. Unfortunately, this evening I am unable to find any advice on the Web about how to do this. Could somebody point me to a good weblink? Thank you.

Could anyone tell me which transfer app gets you the best deal for your buck? Moneygram looks to be the better option, though would anyone happen to know if this is a guaranteed fixed rate or Will other fees apply besides the $.50 when transferring from online bank to direct bank?

Hi, anyone used Currency Fair to transfer funds internationally for 'O' visa?

TL;DR

I understood I could transfer funds using wise (formally transferwise), and if I did it right it would show as an international transfer. I dont see how I do that, anybody have any ideas?

I contacted Wise and they said I can print out details of the transfer, which is not useful for immigration purposes, I believe.

I curse the people who invented paperwork. If they would have started with eWhatever instead of paperwork we would be in a better world today.

Tried to open Bangkok bang account today, unsuccessfully. They wanted 8,000baht because I am on a tourist visa. I have a KTB bank account already, I can use that I suppose.
