I was denied entry into Thailand once last April due to visa runs. But was eventually able to get in a few days later. I then left two months later and haven’t been back since. I’m planning to go back in April making it 1 year since I was denied and about 10 months since I was last there. What are the chances I am denied entry again? I’ll only stay for 55 days with return ticket, funds, and accommodations. But I’m flying from the States and I don’t want to be turned around and sent back. Should I just go with an agency that will get me in? Or is a year enough time.
Can we settle this once and for all.. when re-entering Thailand with DTV…
(Entering after your soft power activity has ended) what is the best thing to say to IO as to why you’re coming back into the country (if you’re coming back to live off savings)? Option A - I’ll be on vacation …or option B - I plan to find another course to enroll on
Just a shout-out to Chiang Rai Immigration. They underwent a recent change of leadership and are now very straight-forward, albeit very particular about requirements and details. However, you will not be suggested an additional fee for services which is just a bribe undercover. I just did my annual renewal application and was in the waiting period for approval when my 90-day came due. I have always filed them online but it was rejected this time so I went in. My window for the 90-day ended less than a week before the date I was given for receiving my annual renewal stamp, so when I went in for the 90-day, I asked if the annual was maybe finished and sure enough it was, so I got the annual stamp, 90-day, and saved another one-hour drive to come in again. The immigration officer was very friendly and courteous (as they usually are in this office) and I went away a happy camper. Good job for RTP-Immigration Chiang Rai.

I went to Bangkok Bank (Pattaya) to ask them if they could provided the paper necessary to renew my retirement visa. They did not answer that question but they did tell me for 25,000 they could renew the visa... I lucked out because the teller "has a friend".
I went to another visa agent (Pattaya) and they said 14,000. They said Bangkok Bank no longer provides the necessary paperwork
and gave me the address to another bank to open account.
