I could not get any information by phone because the number I called for Samut Prakan Immigration office was set in automatic menu loop until it eventually hangs up. so I went there today to get it. My 1 year extension expires at end of April and I have to back to the US at end of March to take care of a few things. I knew that most offered the extension at 30 days before expiration. And few at 45 days before. FYI , Samut Prakan immigration allows extensions 45 days before expiration. Just wanted that info out there for anyone to use it.
Hello, I would like to know if I can do my 30 days extension at the immigration at Samut Prakan. I’ve came with a 60 days entry stamp. From France. Thanks 🙏
A quick note on my experience this week in extending my non-O visa for retirement at Samut Prakan immigration to warn others who may not be aware of a new regulation. On my initial visit with all the documents I have used without problems in the past, I was informed that I needed to show an up-to-date rental agreement in addition to the TM30. This, I was told, was a new and recently introduced regulation. Duly went back with an updated rental agreement and my visa was extended. I don’t know whether this rule is only for extension of visas for retirement or whether it is needed for all visa extensions but any readers of this thread who use the Samut Prakan immigration office should be aware that they could be asked for their lease/rental agreement.
Hi Guys Has any one had any problems using the Samut Prakan Immigration office for an extension for my 30 day entry. As its just down the road from where Im staying saves going into Chaeng Wattanna.
I've recently moves to a new hotel that, according to google maps is 80 meters inside the Samat Prakan province border, should I go to CW or Samaut Prakan immigration to extend my +45 Visa exemption? cheers
A friend of ours is here in Thailand on holiday. He is from the US. When he arrived he got a stamp in his passport for just 30 days. He went to Chaeng Wattana and tried to extend his stay for a bit longer by filling in the TM7 form. When he was finally called up to get the forms processed they noticed that the address he had given on the form of where he is staying was in Samut Prakan so they sent him to the correct office there.
When he got there, they took the TM7 form from him but then said he had to get a TM30 form filled out with the homeowner in Samutprakan giving their details as well as copy of house registration and a certified true copy of their passport.
The thing is, our friend is travelling around and not staying in just one place. When he stayed in Samutprakan it was only for a few nights. He is due to go to holiday in Samui in the next couple of days.
So - did the Samutprakan office make a mistake - does he really need a TM30 to be completed for a simple tourist extension?
I have looked on the www.immigration.go.th website and there is no mention of this for a tourist visa extension - just a fee to be paid along with the TM7.
