Best to bring as much cash as possible. Some bank cards charge as much as $55.00 USD for cash advance of a few hundred dollars. I used my money to prove it. Leave that card in your wallet and only use for extreme emergencies.

not for me. I stay way out in the countryside and for me it feels like the Thai people have given me the Keys to the Kingdom. Never boring. Always learning. Always an adventure everyday. Today I went to a new KFC opening in my neighborhood at 8am to collect a free umbrella and tonight a Football game against Bangkok United.

I stay way out there in Thailand. At the end of the road on the Thai/Myanmar border with my wife. We have a more modern home next to the family home. 6 months each year. No bars, no cinema, no…well we’re in the countryside. I haven’t even been bored. Good luck to you.
