I would like to give an update on what it took to extend my stay retirement visa today at Chiangmai immigration; I left home at about 11 AM and went to the bank to get my verification letter and I also got a statement of my account with 800,000 Thai baht. I stopped across the street at the coffee shop and got copies of everything in my passport. I brought copies of my house book with my lady’s signature and a copy of her tie ID card with her signature. Picked up applications at the coffee shop filled them out signed everything went over to immigration waited until 1 PM when they opened checked in and got a Q number. I was only number 50 which Q number 42 was on the TV in less than 30 minutes I queued up turned in my papers paid my 1900 but we did for my passport to be returned 30 minutes later I had my visa renewed. Total time was three hours and that included sitting around waiting for one hour during lunch. Not bad
