Things have changed a lot just in the last 2-3 weeks. The prices are now 12-15,000 for a new bank account from an agent.

IF immigration asked to see your onward travel (not likely) it would need to be within the numbers of days you will receive on arrival, so that's 60 days.

If you are worried, you can use an onward travel service to get proof of an earlier ticket for $10-$15, or buy a cheap bus ticket out of Thailand.

Three days booking is fine. Again, if they ask (unlikely) they just want to see your first booking.

The post is 2 weeks old. They added an "update" line to say that what they did was accepted.

The website only lets you select an arrival date within 3 days. All other dates are not an option to select. Do the math as to when you can apply then.

How would it cost more outside of Thailand? And you cannot "accidentally" apply for the wrong visa. OA visa will require medical certificate, criminal background check, mandatory health insurance. Non-O requires non of those things.

If you wait until you're in Thailand you will then have to spend 12-15,000 baht for an agent to help you open a bank account, and then you'll have to spend a day at immigration applying to convert to non-O visa and get an "under consideration stamp" and return again to get your visa, and then a couple months later have to go back and spend another day at immigration to apply for the 1-year extension.

If you get the non-O visa before you go, you'll actually be able to open a bank account yourself, and you'll only have 1 trip to immigration rather than 3.

There is no appointment. You apply for the visa through the Thai e-visa website. You then go in person to pay during their specified hours they show on their website or their Facebook page for payment.

Your question is about 90-day reporting, has nothing to do with the DTV.

A 90-day report is required anytime you spend 90 CONSECUTIVE days in Thailand. If you leave before 90 days, you haven't spent 90 consecutive days in Thailand. When you return you start counting again at day 1 because it's only consecutive days.

It's much better if you apply for a non-O visa online from your Thai embassy back home before you travel to Thailand. You'll need a Thai bank account and if you don't have a long term visa already, you likely won't be able to open one.

I think you'd be better off trying with soft power reason, unless you're willing to spend the money to try with what you have knowing it might be rejected.
