There's downtime coming for the TM47 (90 day notification) system!

23 February until 26 February the system will be unavailable.

Remember you can submit online from 14 days before your due date until your due date. Then you have an additional 7 days after your due date that you can file in person without a fine.

*Often system downtimes in Thailand extend well beyond the announced dates.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A notice has been issued regarding the downtime of the TM47 (90 day notification) system from February 23 to February 26. Users can submit their notifications online 14 days before their due date and have an additional 7 days post due date to file in person without incurring fines. Users have shared experiences of software issues and confusion regarding submission timelines, suggesting that some may misunderstand the 14-day rule for online submissions.

I submitted online 5 days before my due date and was rejected. I was not given a reason but asked to go immigration. I managed to get an online appointment and when I asked the officer why my application which was correctly filled was rejected she said I need to submit the it 14 days from the due date! Not any later. This was not my understanding so I was kind confused and none the wiser.

"she said I need to submit the it 14 days from the due date! " . . . . . she probably wanted to say: You can submit beginning from 14 days before due date. . . . .and not up to 14 days after (from ?! from that day on it means after? ) the due date! . . . one cool example of Thinglish gone wrong 🙂

maybe… I tried different ways to clarify it… like using hand gesture to demarcate between day 14 from due date and after… she seemed to suggest after is not acceptable. But could be lost in translation… who knows. Would love to hear how it goes in the next few weeks etc and hear of other peoples’ experiences

for a time last year, Bangkok was rejecting every 90 day report submitted online unless it was submitted 10-14 days before the due date. But I haven't heard any reports recently. That's why I asked the op when this happened

ah, found something: "There is only a limited one-week 15-7 day advance “window of opportunity” when you can submit your 90-day report online. LATEST DATE TO USE: You must submit your online application at least 1 week BEFORE your 90-day report is due."

so the time window is not day 7 to day 14? Is it day 10 to day 14? A window of only 4 days? Sounds a bit harsh . . .

I think they just do it when they have a backlog online to clear it up to be honest

@Adrey ****
to my understanding, you can submit the online 90-days report up from 15 days before and not any later than 7 days before due date . . admin, correct me if this is wrong

can you advise when this was? Was it recently?

I normally just add a 0 to the end (so 3 days you should estimate 30 days).

Hopefully they will correct the software problem with their last December update. I have been doing my online TM 47 for many years but failed last month. Reason given was that my passport number had changed since my last entry into Thailand !! That was more than ten years ago !! Of course I renewed my passport and JOMTIEN Immigration transferred all the appropriate information in their records and my new passport. No changes to any details. TM 30 completed many years ago. Again no changes. TIT.
