What are the closure dates for immigration offices in Thailand during December 2022 and January 2023?

**ATTENTION MEMBERS
IMMIGRATION OFFICE CLOSURES December 2022 & January 2023**
Immigration offices throughout the country will be closed on:
Monday, Dec 5: King Bhumibol Birthday Commemoration Day
Monday, Dec 12: Substitution holiday for Constitution Day
Friday, Dec 30: Special holiday
Monday, Jan 2: Substitution holiday for New Year’s Day
Plan accordingly.
* Land borders are open like normal during holidays.
* Myanmar borders are not open yet for foreigners.
If you have a stamp that is expiring during holidays when the immigration offices are closed and you show up at the immigration office on the very next working day you will NOT be fined for overstay and can get your extension like normal. But you will get an overstay stamp in your passport that says; "overstay xxx days, fine waived due to holiday/closure".

Be aware that immigration offices will generally be way busier the day after a holiday, just because people haven’t managed to do what they need because of the closure.
