Okay everyone! Here is the news you've been waiting for, and possibly not hoping for.

As of today, June 1st, if you enter Thailand with the intention of using the visa exempt program, you will receive the normal 30 day visa exempt stamp. This means the new program has NOT started yet, despite the headlines.

As Monday is a national holiday and the weekend has begun, there's very little chance of any changes before Tuesday of next week.

Do not make plans that depend on any of the new programs as we do not know when they will take effect.

The Prime Minister's office made a post on Friday that stated the programs would come into effect at the end of June or early July, and that's the most recent information we have. If we learn anything new we will let you know ASAP. The link to that is here: [members only]

TLDR : Answer Summary
As of June 1st, travelers entering Thailand under the visa exempt program will continue to receive the standard 30-day visa exempt stamp. The anticipated changes to the program have not yet begun, and new regulations are expected to be implemented potentially at the end of June or early July. Until then, individuals should not plan based on the proposed new visa programs.
