Graham, thank you! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป I need to make a chart of all the potential visas I may qualify.

So, you recommend me to apply for DTV visa ?? ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Sorry, I meant LTR visa, the Privilege visa, you pay like 1 million Bahts in advance for 5 years or so, or for more years. ๐Ÿ˜…

But since I am not under employment, do I qualify DTV visa ?? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

I'm truly lost with so many Thai visa types........๐Ÿฅฒ

Now I remember watching some Youtubers talking about DTV. visa, you pay a certain amount of money for premium services & discounts during your stay. That's a brilliant idea for attracting immigrants with wealth or good jobs. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Graham *****
For the beginning year, I would hesitate to deposit so much in a bank there, if that's part of the financial requirements for DTV visa. ๐Ÿฅน

Actually, DTV isn't my goal.....but, do you recommend it !? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I'm over 50, no employment, solely live on capital gains & dividends, do I qualify DTV visa ?? ๐Ÿค”

Yes, I agree with you ! Thatโ€™s why I feel I better first figure out with which passport to apply for which Thai visa. If it would be easier for my case to apply in Taiwan, then I will first move back to Taiwan and stay there for few months, get the rental or utility bills to prove my residence. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hopefully I will enjoy my winter this year in Thailand without a heavy coat.

Thank you for sharing ! ๐Ÿ™ I have dual citizenship; yet right now O-X visa is not available to Taiwan citizens. I was thinking if the visa agency is right about that a bank account from Taiwan would work, I would apply for O-X visa from Taiwan. But now since you've said that only Australia citizens are allowed to use their home bank account, I better apply for one-year with multiple entries visa as Thai embassy in France suggests me.

Currently I live in France with residence permit and Taiwan is also my home country, so the origins of my passports should not be a concern and no need to do my application in the States. ๐Ÿ™

Congratulations ! ๐Ÿฅฐ Did you need to provide the balance of a Thai bank account in Thailand for your application !?

If yes, how did you open a Thai bank account in Thailand before receiving your visa !?

Thank you ! ๐Ÿ™

But other than Australian citizens, how may a foreigner open an account with a Thai bank in Thailand before receiving the O-X Long Stay Visa ?? ๐Ÿค”
