Looking for some advice on the Visa free possibility of extension.

Australian passport holder landing in Thailand for the first time, expecting to receive 60 day stamp.

Is it possible to pay for extension at immigration without doing border run?

Thank you in advance. ๐Ÿ™๏ฟผ

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Australian passport holder entering Thailand is allowed a 60-day visa-exempt entry. It is possible to apply for a 30-day extension at immigration without leaving the country, though approval is at the discretion of immigration authorities. A TM30 form may be required for the extension process.

You can apply for a 30-day tourist extension, after that you would need to leave.
