sounds like you've been milking visa exempt and extensions of them. You won't get a yearly extension of a long term visa if you don't have a current up to date 90day report. I'll send you a bill for 2000 baht.

@John *******
. Yeah if you're over 50 and don't want to work or own a business in Thailand.

. I've never had them do a home visit. ( 5 extensions)

I'm about to do.my 6th spouse extension in Bkk. Never been asked for a police clearance, because it's not a requirement..

Find an agent that knows what the hell they are doing. Or do it yourself like I do. Going rate for an agent is 30k baht which is bullshit because all they do is take all the paperwork you prepare and provide them to immigration. 2 months thai salary for half a days work..

you need to talk to your new employer asap. If you have a gap between finishing this job and staring the next of more than 7 days, you are going to have issues. Work visas and extensions are totally reliant on paperwork and co operation from your employer. Note . Children under the age of 18 are not subject to overstay fines. But if you have that, getting a new visa or transfer will be a headache.

Go to migration asap and talk to an officer about your situation and do whatever they tell you, or you both may end up having to.leave the country and reapply for visas all over again. Your child relies totally on you having permission to stay.

. Technically, if you are on an extension, you have seven days to leave thailand or transfer sponsorship of visa/ext to new employer. That time starts on your last day of employment. Same rules for your child. Child's visa is dependant on your visa status.

. Only explanation I can come up with is wife and I are close in age, live in family home and both of us are financially sound.

Don't sweat over it, if your marriage is genuine ,you have nothing to be concerned about .

I'm on my 6th yearly extension in Bangkok. Never had a home visit. Home is 10 minutes drive from Changwattana too.. seems it's a lottery in bkk.

. Changwattana is 21 days under consideration now. I thought they made a mistake on the stamp and they said it's been reduced. Collected yearly extension 3 weeks later.
