. The transit visa you are thinking of is for transiting through Thailand to go elsewhere which you aren't. You are exiting Thailand to do a re entry from what you are stating. That's what a border bounce is. Takes 5 minutes to get a Laos visa on arrival at the Laos border which is after the thai exit.

yes and no.. if you get a spouse extension, it's 400k for 2 months prior to applying. After acceptance, you can do whatever you want with the 400k and they also don't care where it came from. If you choose to use a joint account with wife, it needs to be 800k because th ai law sees all assets and liabilities as unless stated otherwise in prenup. Thai law doesn't give a shit about when it comes to visas though... ironic.

Eg foreign women married to thai men don't any money at all.

. You can actually use the Thai bank account balance to get a retirement visa from inside Australia before heading back there. I've used it for a spouse visa outside Thailand which has similar money rules.
