2 months before and no requirement for after for Thai family.

Ralph Tyson No, this does not apply for extensions of stay based on having Thai family.

Needs to be 400 000 in the Thai bank 2 months before, and then after you get the stamp after your consideration period ( maybe even before, not sure ), you can take do whatever you want with it.

I am pretty sure medical tourism can include hair transplants.

I also see one person claiming to have gotten their DTV for this reason in this comment section.

Personally would suggest contact your local Thai Embassy and ask if they approve this type of medical tourist for the soft power route, and what sort of duration and documentation they would need for this application.

Good luck!

I rocked up with a copy of my statements from Wise for my transfers to my Thai bank account, and a summary of the relevant transactions in a spreadsheet table, copies of ALL the pages in my passport and other supporting documents for my deductions..

And then the lady did her calculations, I got my tax ID and paid my tax.

Easy peasy.

Jochen Recht I save money by paying tax in Thailand, as the tax brackets and deductions are far better for my situation here in Thailand than back home.
