Can anyone recommend a tax advisor/accountant in Bangkok? Preferably Sukhumvit area. I'm now a tax resident here and want to stay above board. (DTV holder). Will share any legal info I get regarding tax, tax IDs and payments.

Hello, has anyone successfully obtained a Thai tax ID for 2025-2026 with a DTV visa? What documents were required and which revenue office did you go to in Bangkok? Thank you.

Is a DTV considered a long term visa to get a Thai residency ID? I have a 13 digit Thai tax ID. Thanks everyone.

Hello guys!

I need Thai tax ID and I was told there are two types of booklets/cards - a pink one and a blue one.

Could someone please explain what’s the difference and which one I actually need to get for the tax ID? 🙏

Hi everyone! 👋

Has anyone applied for a thai tax ID or driving licence while on a DTV visa?

I already have a European driving licence, but not sure if DTV status is accepted for these..

If you’ve done it recently, could you please share which documents asked for especially in Phuket? 🙏

I’ve heard some people couldn’t get the Certificate of Residence with DTV, so just wondering what worked for you to get tax ID and/or licences

Is anyone here on DTV in Thailand, does not have a Thai bank account but has a Thai Tax ID?

A tax attorney, i just contacted to pay tax in Thailand, told me i need a Thai bank account to get a thai tax id and pay taxes. But I just used revolut to pay and get cash. From all i red i am pretty sure if i am in Thailand for more than 180 days i can get a thai tax id and pay taxes here.

German potatoe on the hunt for information regarding tax situation. 🤞

Hey everybody. I applied for the DTV from Germany and didn’t hear anything back for about 10 days. Then the embassy asked for a picture taken by a photographer and copy (not picture) of the passport. When I submitted these everything went smoothly and quick and my DTV got approved. 💜

Now I’m asking myself - regarding taxes. Anybody from Germany with knowledge in the field?

I get the point that your tax resident if you stay more than 180 days but I’m looking for consultant or lawyer from Germany who can give advice AND people who’ve been through the process and can give information about their experience.

Thank you folks and happy DTV-ing. ☀️

hello there, As a Thai tax resident and DTV holder, do I need to pay any taxes if I’m not transferring money to a Thai bank account, and I’m only using my credit/debit cards from my home country? I’m also withdrawing small amounts of cash from ATMs using my home country's bank cards.

Folks on a DTV - are you able to open a Bank account? Also has anyone got a Thai tax ID or Pink card. Some of the banks are refusing to open an account on the DTV.
