Medical soft power? I want to head to Thailand for medical reasons, but since you have to apply from your home country (Canada) I was curious what path to take.

I haven't been in Thailand but heard it's 2nd best for treatments for my condition so I am interested in applying for DTV from Canada asap. However, I have nothing scheduled yet and I would probably have to get consultation first, so being the treatment is in Bumrungrad International Hospital can I apply for DTV using a consult appointment or does it have to be a full blown 6 month treatment plan.

Hello, really sorry if this is an obvious question or stupid. I have done lots of research but not clear. I plan to come to Thailand on DTV to have surgery in Bangkok (will have proof). I need a specialist & waiting times in UK Via NHS is 18+ months, private costs are extortionate, whereas Bangkok, specialist consultant can see me within months and £10k rather than £20k+ in UK! Am I right that if my husband moves with me we EACH need £11k GBP in our bank accounts to meet DTV requirements and EACH need to apply for a DTV? Any advice / answers would be greatly appreciated 🙏

I would like to apply for the DTV soft power...

I am a Canadian citizen

I am thinking of applying in Malaysia.

I would apply for dental treatments(implants)

Is this feasible?

When obtaining the visa, how long is it valid?

Thank you for any information

I am doing some medical tourism in BKK, and if the treatment qualifies me for DTV that's a bonus. I started physical therapy but it doesn't qualify, does anyone know if allergy/immunology does?

Hi, all

I am using ED visa now. it will expire next month.

I hope to apply DTV by medical treatment.

I have had high blood pressue for long time.

I haven`t had any treatment from thailand. but I am having medicine from my country.

I read many posting but most of people apply by digital nomad and muay thai class.

Does anyone have a DTV by medical treatment?

what should I prepare for applying DTV with medical treatment?

please advise for my case.

Thanks and sorry for my bad english^^

AUSTRALIAN INFO:

I have some questions, NZ Citizen (NZ Passport), Aus Permanent Resident.

I am considering going to BKK for a Vasectomy Appointment. Will be one Appointment but can book in follow up Appointments x4.

My Questions for anyone that has applied from Aus.

1. What is the waiting time?

2. How many months previous bank statements were required?

3. How was the overall application process?

4. For medical applicants, how much documentation did you have to provide? Is confirmation of medical appointment enough, or do you need X amount of appointments?

I have used the search engine but nothing specific has been shown.

Any other Aussies with experience, feel free to drop a comment or DM.

Thanks to all in advance

Taipei DTV update:

Denied but didn’t have to pay. 💰 here’s the reason(i can reapply)

But it was for the most stupidest reason IMO.

For context I am American and applying under soft power - medical tourism

I was rejected my application… because the doctor wasn’t on the clinic’s website.

And I literally have no idea what to do now.

They were not helpful in literally just calling the clinic or accepting an email from their official company email.

They advised me to come back with the original stamp (which I have but no with me)

And to wait for a different supervisor (no idea why?)

She basically said different supervisors may allow for different things. Which is quite insane for an official application.

None of this is on the website by the way as they didn’t even understand the medical soft power initially.

So the moral of the story is

Take a gamble on the supervisor as to what documents are acceptable

BANK 🏦 STATEMENT:

Even stranger is they rejected my bank statement, instead asking me to login to my bank account website and show them the live balance.

Never in my life have I’ve heard of such thing

Has anyone got a DTV for medical tourism?

And, if so, what kinds of documents etc did you need?
