@Steve ******
you are of course correct regarding the TDAC Arrival card. That's why I left the departure date blank.

However the logic in the context of the airline refusing to transport the passenger due to lack of an onward flight would be that Thai immigration does not require this per se so why would the airline refuse when there is clearly no repercussion to them if the passenger has no onward ticket.

And of course you are also correct that the IO can ask whatever they like and let you in or not based on your answers.

Going back to my original comment would you be so kind to provide the source that states the requirement for a DTV holder to have an onward travel. This would be helpful for everyone in the group where you have found that requirement. Thank you

Nope. Just came back from FRA on Qatar to BKK with no onward booking on a DTV. Also no issue getting stamped in in BKK for 180 days with no flight details in TDAC

@Steve ******
do you have a reliable source for that requirement?

I have just done my TDAC on the DTV and did not provide an outbound flight. That tells me that immigration does not require this so why would an airline decide otherwise?

Anonymous participant 377 Depends what you consider expensive. We paid around $1,500 AUD for 3.5m3 or around 25 large removal boxes from SYD to BKK

We just did this from AUS and did not get taxed. The customs agent we used checked it and they confirmed it a few weeks before our goods arrived.

I asked them multiple times about it and they said that rules have changed for DTV

I am just saying that you can live in Thailand for 5 years with the DTV. If it’s the best visa for that depends on the personal circumstances. If having a Thai bank account or being able to work in Thailand is important than the DTV is not the right visa. Not sure which home country will not allow you to maintain your bank account as you only have a tourist visa.

ehhhh yes it is

At least for 5 years and if you want to go to the max all you have to do once every 180 days is to leave the country for a coffee and come straight back in. So let’s say 5 hours out of 5 years.

Thats living in Thailand in my books 😎

I have used a very detailed paid step-by-step guide for my application and it made it super easy to get everything organised

Show them what you do. Not sure what exactly you do but If you prepare presentations to clients, marketing plans, social media posts, performance dashboards or the like then include some of these.

Just imagine a new client approaches you and wants you to work for them. How do you win them over to work with you instead of someone else?

The requirements are clearly spelled out 500,000THB or equivalent in your home currency in a personal account in your name. Savings or cheque only. Anything else is generally not accepted.

However, this may change at some point in the future and they may accept Crypto as they are soon letting tourists pay with Crypto.

"TouristDigiPay Let foreign tourists convert crypto into baht to spend at stores in the country to stimulate tourism through Thai digital asset service providers. Prepare for an 18-month trial, expected to start in the 4th quarter of 2025, while Kasikorn launches Q Wallet to support"
