Very stressed. Thai embassy just can’t get over the fact I am staying in a guesthouse. I have sent them a receipt and TM30. My flight is next Wednesday to Chiang Mai from Hanoi.

I am just filling in the DTV now, I am stuck on date of arrival and intended departure, I will be going in September but not sure of date , I was intending to buy a one way ticket , and an onward flight about 3 weeks in to visit Vietnam for a week , then back to Thailand. Coming home for Christmas probably , and then back to Thailand again. I am concerned that they may just issue a one time entry if it looks like I will only be there 3 weeks?? Do you think is would be better to book a return flight and stay for 2 months? Also re proof of accommodation, I usually only book a hotel for a few days at a time as I like to travel around, will this be a problem? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. R

Has anyone applied for the DTV visa via the Thai Embassy in Switzerland? Was a 7–10 night refundable hotel booking enough for accommodation proof, or did they ask for more? I plan to do a long-term contract only after approval.

Thailand DTV application advice - additional information!

Currently applying from Malaysia & have been asked for all this additional information, after I applied yesterday.

I don’t yet have a condo etc. & would be great to have some advice on how to best submit all of this!

Hi everyone 😁 ! I’m just checking the Thaievisa website for my DTV Visa application next week and I have 2 questions :

First, I don’t see where people are uploading the 6 months bank statements and proofs of funds on the website…

But just the travel booking confirmation and proof of accommodation in Thailand.

And second, many people are talking about uploading PDF filed passports pages but it seems the website only take JPEG files….

( so when I get to Thailand I can get a longer Visa )

Photo 1 - presuming these parts I have ticked are correct

Photo 2 - document indicating current location ? - I’m staying in a hotel ?? - is a receipt of that usable ?

And

Why are they asking for financial evidence

for a single entry ?

I was asked for 6 months accomodation in BKK by HCMC embassy. I dont have a rental agreement and had only booked a hotel for a week that had been attached. Ive now booked a different hotel for 6 months in 2 seperate booking of 90days as thats all it will let me. Im actually staying at a free apartment owned by a family friend but have no documentation to prove this.

I've read that applicants may need to provide proof of a condo or hotel contract as a supplemental document when applying for a DTV visa.

I will be staying in a hotel in BKK for about a week and looking for a condo, would it be okay to submit my hotel reservation voucher as a supplement?
