Maybe one possible option, I don’t know for sure but just an idea…

If you book one of the airport VIP meet and greet services, could someone deliver the old passport to this company, so when they meet you at the plane door, they could give it to you before you reach immigration.

Just a thought.

I flew into Suvarnabhumi last September and politely asked the IO to stamp me in on a 30 day waiver rather than stamp me in on the single entry visa I had in the system. I explained that I had an onward flight out of Bangkok a few days after this first entry and didn’t want to start the clock on my single entry visa or to buy a re-entry permit. He obliged. I think it’s down to the IO’s discretion on the day. Good luck.

This evening I have just successfully completed my first 90 day report online.

I received an email confirmation with ‘successful notification TM47’ almost instantly. Yayy!! 👍😄

In case it’s relevant, I have a first time, 12 month extension on a Non Imm O Retirement visa, issued at Samut Prakan. It is now 15 days before my 90 day report deadline.

After a week away in Phuket hotels, I returned to Samut Prakan two days ago and I ‘refreshed’ my TM30 yesterday.

I successfully applied for the Non O-retirement 12 month extension with my home address being different to my BKK bank address. No questions were asked. This was last month at Samut Prakan immigration office. My initial non O was obtained online.

Yes, days, weeks or months before is fine. You should register as soon as possible. The actual requirement is to register your TM30 within 24hrs of arrival at any address.

If you do manage to do it online yourself remember to make a Screenshot of the page that shows that you have ‘informed’ to keep for your record.

My landlord sent me the two required documents and I did my TM30 online myself.

You would need to ask your landlord for signed copies of their Thai ID and the house book, and then you can register the TM30 online by yourself.

Register yourself on this link and then you’ll receive an email to activate your account. Then you can add the address when you have the two required documents from your landlord to upload.

apology unnecessary. It’s thanks to you and this page that I learnt how to gather all the required paperwork and only make one trip to apply for the extension. 🙏👍😄

I fortunately found a kind IO at Suvarnabhumi on 23rd Sept this year. I showed him my single entry Non O and explained that I had a flight booked to exit and return in the next few days, and asked if he could please just stamp me in on the waiver. He did, without any questions. 👍😄 UK passport if it has any relevance.
