Is it a problem if my bank account address differs from my residential address for a Non O visa in Thailand?

Hi there. I am in the process of gathering all the docs needed to apply for a Non O visa based on over 50. I have a Thai bank account into which I will transfer the 800000.

But the address of my bank account is not the address where I live now. Is that likely to be a problem or not? Thanks for any help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on whether having a bank account with a different address than their current residence will pose issues when applying for a Non O visa based on retirement in Thailand. Comments from other users suggest that this discrepancy is generally not a problem, as experiences vary by immigration office. Some have succeeded in their applications without questions regarding address differences.

I successfully applied for the Non O-retirement 12 month extension with my home address being different to my BKK bank address. No questions were asked. This was last month at Samut Prakan immigration office. My initial non O was obtained online.

All depends on the immigration office. No two are the same. Only one way to find out.

They will ask you only where you opened account , to any issues

Bank book must show the same address you are living when renewing visa

don't think bank and address coincide. Have has same bank. Same #'s on a few accounts. But 3 addresses in 21 years

Not an issue where your branch is located.

Ah. I see what you mean. I do believe there would be an issue with the accounts’ address being incorrect.

Can you not update it to your new address?

but you still live in / own the condo? I don't live in my condo any more. The ownership is complicated now

My guess is like many things here it’s going to be office or even officer specific as to whether they require a matching address on bank statements.

hence the question. I think I will need to do that as part of the process. I will be living in my partners house but the account has to be in my name for the visa. Hope there isn't an issue changing it. Thanks
