If I get the receipt and pay, does that mean I have passed and can get a visa?

No. not at the moment. I believe they’re switching to the e-visa application process at the end of the month.

See my comment above regarding details. Walk in. I was first in line, arriving at 7.30am. Door opens at 9am. By 7.45 there were 15 ish in the queue. By 8.30 about 40 people.

When I walked out at 9.04am there were about 5 people inside and over 50 outside.

I got their ultra early but had a GRAB Starbucks delivery to the queue. So it went quickly. 🤪

I’m not sure. Mainly the fact that most ASEAN zone consulates are switching tomorrow 8th Oct, and I read a post on this group that an applicant had emailed the Jakarta consulate asking about the switch and received a reply saying it was postponed until the end (vague) of the month. Probably worth emailing the consulate for a reliable answer.

Today, Monday 7th Oct 2024:

I was first to arrive at the consular gate(opens 9am) at 7.20am. Shortly afterwards 4 others arrived to queue.

By 7.45am about 15 people. By 8.30am about 40 people. At 9am they opened and gave the first 4 people numbered tickets.

I had completed the application form in advance so after the security bag and body check I went through to the counter and handed over documents at 9.01am.

By 9.04am the efficient officer handed me the slip with details to return on Thursday 10th Oct afternoon to collect.

I downloaded from their website. Recommended. The security guy at entrance has some too. Some of the early queuers missed their slots because they were filling them in in the application room. 🤪

With the soft power medical does it mean you’re working in a medical field or you just received an approval letter from hospital?
