Hi everyone, I need help with a DTV-related issue 🙏

My boyfriend is currently staying in Thailand on a DTV. He works remotely for a company based in Luxembourg, but he’s living in Thailand.

Recently, his passport with the DTV visa stamp got damaged in the washing machine 😭😭 — the visa page is now blurry and unreadable. He has another valid passport, and we’re planning to travel to Moscow next month.

He wants to come back to Thailand in September, but we’re unsure what to do now that the visa is unreadable.

❓ Has anyone dealt with a damaged DTV stamp before?

❓ Can he transfer the visa to the second passport, or does he need to apply for a new one?

❓ Should we go to Thai Immigration now before leaving Thailand? Or apply for a new DTV from Moscow or Luxembourg?

Any advice or experience would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Do i need to visit immigration office after my passport renewal to copy the entry stamp from the old passport? Is there any specific form for that?

Hi everyone, I already have an approved DTV visa, but I need to renew my passport soon.

After I get my new passport, my DTV visa will still be in my old one. In this case, can I bring both my old and new passports when I enter Thailand? Will immigration accept that?

My old passport may be marked as invalid (cut corner or stamped), but the DTV visa page will remain intact.

Has anyone had experience entering Thailand like this? Or should I apply for a visa transfer to the new passport after arriving?

Question to the B-Visa holders...

I got my B-Visa new now but only for 9 months because my passport expires in March 2026.

Last time, when I had to get a new passport, I got my visa for 1 year and then they just transferred the visa from the old to the new passport.

Has anyone of you experienced that, too or know any source (link) where I can find a clear information about it?

I am really wondering if it was correct what they did or just another kind of money making of immigration or my accounting office which is doing my visa?

Quick question, heading into BOI to have my LTR-P visa transferred to my new passport. They ask for a copy of old and new passport with your photo… now I would assume that it’s the passport photo page but do they also want 2 separate passport photos? I have retirement visa on my passport and I would like to transferre it to my other passport (different nationality). I was told I need to leave Thailand and enter with tourist visa and in Thailand I will start the process al over again with the new passport. Has anyone done this?
