Hello I am a online entrepreneur I have DTV visa now I want to buy a condo in Bangkok but i cannot open bank account with my DTV visa I try all banks no one can open bank account with DTV visa. can you guys help me how can I open bank account with DTV.
informed that I could apply for a non-O (marriage visa) Visa in Thailand, having spoken to immigration they informed me that I can’t get an O Visa unless I have a bank account. So I went to the bank and the bank said. I can’t get a bank account as I don’t have a long-term Visa. What is this all about? is there a way of sorting this out in Thailand or do I need to go back to the UK and sort it?
Hi Peeps, my wife and I (abv 50y/o) just got issued our 90-days Non-O Immigrant Visa from outside of thailand. Once i arrive in BKK and get my visa stamped on my passport, i understand that I can open a bank account which I will do from Bang Saray/Sattahip, since I own a condo there (will bring all my property papers). Will the bank ask for a Thai mobile rgst'd in my name ? What are ALL the docs they need ?
Beside this, does anyone know how to go about obtaining a Retirement Visa while we are in Thailand(without going thru an agent) ? What are the documents and stuff needed to apply for Retirement Visa btw. How much must I deposit into Kasikorn bank ? How many days would the Retirement Visa approval take and must I be staying in Thailand until they issue it ? Also how to obtain a Thai Driver's lic ? I already have my country's one and a valid International Driving Permit. tyvvvm
Just opened a bank acc with KBank . I need to deposit the required amount from my revolut account to start the marriage visa ! Do I send money to my Thai bank account in Thai baht or Pounds sterling ?
I have been a regular visitor to Thailand for many years and now is the time to stay permanently.
I will be applying for a 90 day non immigrant visa online here in the UK and then after depositing the necessary funds in a Thai bank account will wait the 60 days before heading to my local immigration office in Bueng Gan to apply for a retirement visa. On the official Thai embassy website it says that if I apply to retire in the UK I must provide a medical certificate and police clearance. But if applying in Thailand it says that these "may be requested ". My question is, will I definitely need these certificates? Or is it a case of some immigration offices or officers being more or less stringent. I do want to be prepared especially as I am selling up and leaving sunny Devon forever.
Hi everybody; I have applied in usa for a 90 day non-o retirement Visa. My first question is regarding timing. If I register my address upon arrival (TM-30) and then open up Thai bank account and deposit ฿800,000 I have to let the funds “season” for 60 days. then I’m told i can apply for a one year extension. But I read somewhere that you’re supposed to apply 30-
45 days before your 90 day visa expires. Is this true? And if so, what do I do about it? The math doesn’t work.
Second question is regarding transferring funds. If I use Wise, will it show up as a foreign transfer? Is this important?
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time and trouble to respond.
