the reason they cancel is because your passport that you applied for, can only come to Thailand.

If you apply for an ETD, you're not here to collect it, and can't be until you get a new passpprt

The Government website lays it all out for you.

Also bare in mind that if you now apply for an Emergency travel document, your passport application is cancelled and there is no refund on your paid fees.

You would need to reapply in the UK.

It also now looks likely that the strike is set to escalate at the end of this month.

If you've already applied for a new UK passport then your passport you have in hand is cancelled in the system for travel

Perth was an honorary consulate.

All Thai Honorary consulates worldwide were closed down, disbanded and were stopped from issuing visas.

They won't be coming back

just at the airport now. I have an appointment on Saturday morning in the UK to collect my new passport.

I can't be messing around for 12 weeks or more to do it in Bangkok

as soon as you apply for a new UK passport, your old passport is entered into the worldwide database.

You cannot travel on it.

take a look at making an appointment.

The last time I looked, it was at least a month in advance.

Then once they dealt with your application, they will send you a link to book a further appointment to collect

you do realise you cannot just walk into the Thai Embassy in KL?

You need an appointment to lodge your application.

You then need to supply them a mobile number that they contact you on once your application is completed or refused.

You then need to book another appointment to pick up your passport.

I hope you have allowed a few weeks to complete it.

Algeria doesn't have a Thai Embassy.

If you require a Thai Visa, you travel to Madrid, Spain.

There's no Evisa for you

10 days for an appointment is pretty quick.

They did start a walk-in service but for some reason that's been suspended.

I need a new passport but am going back to the UK to get it.

It's taken me 3 days to get an appointment in the UK for a same day service. The earliest appointment in the UK near where I am staying is the 8th of April.

I can't wait 10 and 12 weeks for a passport.

The UK appears to be flooded with passport applications
