and at some stage, someone there will see your TM30 out of line and fine you. This is why now, i just do it. I won't listen to them anymore. The TM30 office themselves, never, ever refuse it.

That's the reason I don't take there word for anything there. None of them would ever put there hand up and admit telling you not to do it.

I own my place but it don't matter. Once your in the system, just go with the previous slip.

The big problem there is that each section has it's own interpretations of how you do things.

I sway them all off and just head for the TM30 office on the left as you enter.

Take no notice of the reception desk as you enter. They will have you in all sorts of problems.

As Robert said, ask them. They change there mind weekly at Jomtien. Me? I just do it everytime.

They had 4000 baht out of me in 2017.

They won't get it again.

I'm past listening to what others say or do.

I would imagine they are difficult to obtain because they are not for temporary visitors.(Holiday etc) As a foreigner, if you leave the country, you have too return the card. You need a permanent address to even obtain one.

Here is a link of how to obtain one.

Good luck!

From Time spent in Japan, a certificate of Alien registration, put simply, was kind of having a pink Thai ID card. Anybody staying longer than 90 days, except military personnel and some others, had to register.

The cards were municipalities issued. It changed around 2012 to a National issued and registered card.

There isn't much you can do without a card. Even buying a mobile phone etc you need one.
