This has probably been discussed before but the TM 30 is a pain!

I live in Pattaya

I rent a condo

I retired here

If I was to go outside chonburi province

Say to Bkk for a few days

Do I need to re register my tm 30 when i come back

It’s such a grey area and the immigration website does not make it clear

Does anyone have first hand experience with this from Jomtien??

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 registration can be confusing for expats in Thailand, especially regarding trips outside the province. Forum members advise that experiences differ based on local immigration office enforcement. Many who have traveled from Pattaya to Bangkok found they didn't need to re-register their TM30 upon returning, provided they had not left the country. It’s recommended to carry photocopies of documents and check directly with local immigration offices for guidance tailored to individual situations.

As adress registration is not really Thai Visa related and enforcement in every Immigration Office is different, so the only advice given can be: Visit the office in your area and ask what and when to do. I close the comments, good luck.

I write up my own TM30 form as my owner is overseas...and all I provide is a copy of the rental contract and our ID’s...always accepted

So have several photocopies ready for any time I report, and ive been told that a new TM30 form is required but i see others say its not...for me its better to be aafebtha sorry, it’s not hard at all

I asked 3 times in jomtien they said no. Domestic not interested only when come From abroad. I go away camping sometimes a month it would be impossible for me. Also they said police reporting not working have not seen anybody tried and succeeded

and at some stage, someone there will see your TM30 out of line and fine you. This is why now, i just do it. I won't listen to them anymore. The TM30 office themselves, never, ever refuse it.

That's the reason I don't take there word for anything there. None of them would ever put there hand up and admit telling you not to do it.

I own my place but it don't matter. Once your in the system, just go with the previous slip.

The big problem there is that each section has it's own interpretations of how you do things.

I sway them all off and just head for the TM30 office on the left as you enter.

Take no notice of the reception desk as you enter. They will have you in all sorts of problems.

I live in Chumphon, travel to bkk every single month for a few days and never have to report back on my return. Asked once and they laughed.

Do you take your old tm30 receipt

Or do you need to get a new one from the landlord?
Robert *******
In this modern time of computers I would say, NO, they don't even need all those copies and papers. But if Immigration want, we supply. I always make more than 1 copy, just to have some spare in case off. In 12 years in Krabi I asked ID and housebook from landlord only the first time, but used the copies every year.

@Robert ******
For the first time. I understand

But if i go for a trip somewhere

Do they have to do all the papers again?

My landlord lives in China

Yesterday someone posted here: In Jomtien the TM30 form, lease contract and copy ID owner.

As Robert said, ask them. They change there mind weekly at Jomtien. Me? I just do it everytime.

They had 4000 baht out of me in 2017.

They won't get it again.

I'm past listening to what others say or do.

It is not a pain. As we adviced here many times, but keep on doing it. The registration of Address and the reports afterworths are enforced different at any Immigration Office. The hard core offices want you to report on every change, some only when you return from abroad and others don't seem to care at all. To avoid any problem in the future, visit the Immigration Office in your area and ask how this is enforced locally. Explain your situation, I have yellow house book etc and they will give you the correct information.

I just rent here

Before

I have been away and gone to immigration when I have come back

And been told it’s not necessary if i haven’t gone outside Chonburi province!

I guess the best thing to do is just go there anyway

Just to be safe
