thanks, I was thinking of doing it that way. The banks in Bangkok gives you a currency exchange rate that's pretty low. Have you used wise for awhile, any problems?

I have been to a couple of banks in Bangkok and they won't let me open a bank account. They say I have to have a long term Visa. But I can't apply for a long term Visa without a bank account with 800k Baht in it. I feel like I'm caught in a Catch-22.
