TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the first extension of a Non-O retirement visa in Thailand, common required documents typically include proof of residence (such as a lease or ownership documentation), a bank statement showing a minimum balance of 800,000 baht for at least 3 months prior, a copy of your passport and its latest stamp, a completed TM.7 form, a recent passport-sized photo, and cash for the application fee. It is advisable to check with your specific immigration office to confirm the exact requirements as they may vary slightly by location.

Can I ask. So when you apply for the extension you still need to have 800; 000 baht in the bank. Not just for the non o application. As I was informed. I don’t want to go below this before I apply for my extension in 90 days thanks
You haven't stated what the extension is based on?? Just visit the immigration office, that you will be applying to, and request a list of requirements for the extension you need.
the usual advice is, to go to the immigration office that you will do the extension at, and ask for a list of requirements for an extension based on retirement, also ask time frames etc, because people report requirements can differ slightly from one immigration office to another, I noticed in another comment, someone has given you the basic list for the retirement extension.
you've done your first 12 month extension several times? When was the last time?

"Have evidence of financial support—deposit 800,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank account in Thailand for at least two months before application or show a monthly retirement income from outside of Thailand of 65,000 baht monthly or present a combination of deposit and income totaling 800,00 baht." TM6 "suspended airport at date" . . I know English is not your first language. Could we agree on "TM6 (discontinued for all entries by air")? . . . . . . . . . . . (land and sea following by May 1st)
correct. Just re-read the article in the Bangkok Post. . . "The government has suspended the requirement for foreigners who enter Thailand by land or sea to fill out TM 6 immigration forms from April 15 until Oct 15."

Assuming you applied inside of Thailand for your non-O visa, the documents will be similar to what you used to apply for the visa. But to be 100% sure you should go to your immigration office about a week before you plan on applying and ask for their handout for requirements for the specific extension you'll be applying for. That way you know exactly what they want and can get everything prepared before you go.
You should actually do this every year, as sometimes they like to surprise you with new requirements.
seems like you know a lot. What happens if I have an emergency, and I think I might, and I have to leave Thailand before I get my extension approved? Does the Non-O expires?
We are on the same page, a re-entry permit keeps your current stamp live whether that is a 90 day Non-O or a 12 month extension. No re-entry permit and that stamp ceases so you start again.
ok, got it. If my Non-O 90 days expire on May 19th, and if I leave on the 15th of May. I still have 4 days on the books when I come back if I do the re-entry permit.
