Did you extend 30 days in Thailand? I had the same thing happen to me and they said it was due to the extension when I asked.

Well, if that's true there might be some potential issues since some countries require European IDPs to be according to 1949 convention and they are only valid for one year, 1968 model IDPs are valid for up to 3 years.

The int one you get in Europe is either 1 or 3 years. Which one you get depends on where you're going.
