I had a 12 month dtac SIM that was unlimited at 30mbps and was fine for it. Got from Lazada. Not sure if still available. Only cost about 1500 baht

if you're over 50 and have the cash the process is actually pretty simple, if a little confusing at first

Just because I'm a citizen of a country that chose to self harm does not mean I voted for it. Should I call you AFD boy?

you mentioned governments and cartels. You know everyone else pays just 50 baht for withdrawals? They've just had a chat amongst themselves to target your cards with the 250 bhat fees to enrich themselves

so do you shout Xenophobe when you get withdrawal fees in other countries, as pretty much all banks charge withdrawal fees for foreign issued cards. Many countries have private ATMs that charge fees regardless of the card issuer. Do you think Thais shout Xenophobia when they make withdrawals from their own banks in another districts of Thailand as is actually the case with Thai banks?

Really depends where you're going. If you're sticking to urban areas you probably don't need any but probably not a bad idea to make sure you're up to date on tetanus etc. if you're going up north into jungle territory then Japanese encephalitis may need worth getting but get some in Thailand
